Key responsibilities:

  • Be part of an R&D team responsible for end-to-end feature development, from inception to production release and maintenance.
  • Tackle diverse challenges, from intricate low-level platform-specific issues to high-level software engineering decision-making.
  • Help shape our startup's vision by leveraging your experience and insights to make informed design decisions and set priorities.
  • Analyze and comprehend the Chromium project's complexity, research and define solutions for optimal implementations achieving required functionality while maintaining the product's high quality and maintainability.
  • Drive independent learning and problem-solving to address intricate challenges unique to building a mission-critical enterprise browser.

Requirements:

  • Team player, ambitious, and creative.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software development experience in either/both:
    a. C++, preferably using modern standards (C++14, C++17, C++20).
    b. Objective-C in a MacOS environment.
  • Excellent scripting skills in bash and python.
  • Experience with developing large-scale, multi-platform systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Exceptional debugging skills, capable of unraveling complexities using a variety of tools.
  • Familiarity with security-focused development

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with the Chromium project.
  • Familiarity with web browser fundamentals, including concepts like cookies, sandboxing, and profiles.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and/or building Chrome extensions.
  • Active participation in and contributions to open-source projects.
  • Comprehension of security concepts such as authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Understand cryptographic concepts and experience implementing secure protocols.
